Jesse Brown, 56, of Windsor, Missouri, died Sunday morning, April 9, 2017, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
He was born December 25, 1960 in Windsor, Mo., the son of Jesse James Peek and Kathryn Juanita (Clark) Peek. Jesse was the oldest of 6 children and became a hard worker at an early age.
He worked in various jobs including for the City of Windsor and Caseys and Valero in Windsor. Most recently he co-owned and operated Windsor Plumbing with his good friend Josh Alley. He enjoyed fishing, time spent with his many friends, and helping others.
Survivors include a brother, George Peek, Windsor, Mo.; 4 sisters, Alice Brown, Kansas City, Mo., Annie Mizer (Alfred), Sedalia, Mo., Becky Simpson, Sedalia, Mo., and Nancy Moon, Sedalia, Mo.; an aunt, Virginia Moon, Windsor, Mo.; 3 uncles, Ray Young, Ed Young, and Morgan Young; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was especially close to Amy, Crystal, and Charles Peek, whom he helped raise. He is also survived by several close friends who were like family including Eddie Calloway, Pam Martin, Josh Alley, Russ Fosnow, Terry Wade, Mike Grubb, Judy Antrikin, and Chris Nevils. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmothers, Helen Young and Nancy Peek; and by his good friend and father figure, Bill Calloway.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. A time of sharing will be held at 3:00 p.m. during the visitation. Burial will be 5:00 p.m. at the Union-Williams Cemetery, Cole Camp, Mo., following the visitation on Saturday. The family suggests contributions to help with funeral expenses and may be left in care of the funeral home.
