Melbale Jeanne LaClair, 86, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Knob Noster, Mo., died Monday, September 11, 2017, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
She was born November 18, 1930, in West Plains, Mo., the daughter of Hubert Willard and Sylvia Lorena (Garrett) Willard. On April 15, 1949, in Central City, Colorado, she married Clarence James “Jim” LaClair and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1990.
She worked as a data processing manager for Montgomery Wards in Denver, Co., for over 10 years. After moving back to Missouri in 1971, she worked as a catalog department manager for the JCPenney’s store in Warrensburg. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and held several offices while living in Colorado. She was also a member of the Englewood Methodist Church, Englewood, Co.
Survivors include a son, Darrell LaClair, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; a daughter, Sharon Tellier, Hoyt, Kansas; a granddaughter, Ali Currie and her husband Garrett; and 2 great-grandsons, Garreson and Reid Currie. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tina Kay LaClair.
Following cremation, no services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
