James Keith Wilson, 68, of rural Leeton, Missouri, died Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2017, at his home.
He was born February 26, 1949, in Clinton, Mo., the son of James Edward Wilson and Helen Louise (Bradshaw) Wilson. On March 22, 1969, at the Baptist Church in Leeton, Mo., he married Linda Louise Long and she survives of the home.
Keith was a dedicated farmer, growing row crops and raising cattle. He lived and breathed farm life every day of the year. He had many friends and enjoyed being an active part of the community. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, and volunteered as a sound technician at the church.
In addition to his wife, Linda, survivors include a daughter, Brenda Wilson (fiancé Calvin Penning) Warrensburg, Mo.; 2 sons, Aaron Wilson (Chastity) Leeton, Mo., and Andrew Wilson (Andrea Watring), Leeton, Mo.; 7 grandchildren, Dessiray Karm (William), Rachael Waller (Jonathan), Erica Wilson, Jack Watring, Hunter Watring, Arley Wilson and Kinley Wilson; 4 great-grandchildren, Layla, William, Jamie, and Braylen; his mother, Helen Wilson, Leeton, Mo.; a sister Karen Ganote (Dave), Joplin, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Long, Athens, Tx; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father James E. Wilson.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, with Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, January 1, 2018, at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family suggests contributions to the First Presbyterian Church or Heartland Hospice in care of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home.
