Gloria J. Turner, 90, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Nevada, Iowa, died Tuesday evening, December 19, 2017, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Mo.
She was born March 5, 1928, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick William Fritz and Gertrude Edyth (Deters) Fritz.
She was a loving care giver to many children in her home for a number of years before retiring at the age of 76. She enjoyed baking breads and cookies for her family, the children she took care of and for her church family. She was a member of the Assembly of God of Windsor.
Survivors include a son, Tim C. Turner, Windsor, Mo.; a daughter Cheryl Ann Goodyear and husband David, Hustonville, Kentucky; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kim Fritz, Nevada, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mary Elwick, Radcliff, Iowa; and Linda Fritz and husband Robert, Windsor, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bill Fritz, Merrill Fritz, and Laurence Fritz; and a sister Rosalie Weber.
Following cremation burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Warrensburg, Mo., at a future date. The family suggests contributions in memory of Gloria to help with monument expenses.
