Obituary of Anna Belle McDonough
Anna Belle McDonough, 87, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday morning, April 22, 2017, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor.
She was born January 23, 1930 in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd James Lear and Hazel Irene (Hollister) Lear. On December 13, 1947, in Sioux City, Iowa, she married Orville Warren “Red” McDonough and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2002.
Anna Belle was a homemaker and greatly enjoyed reading. She was loved by all her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed holiday gatherings when the family would gather in her home. She was a giving person and always put the needs of others first. She was a long-time member of the Brandon United Methodist Church and then attended the Windsor United Methodist Church after moving to Windsor from the farm where she and Orville raised their family.
Survivors include 3 sons, Charles Floyd McDonough (Cherice), Parma, Idaho; Joseph Warren McDonough (Lajhanta) Warrensburg, Mo.; and Timothy John McDonough (Kathleen), Caldwell, Id.; 4 daughters, Anita Marie Koontz (William), Sioux City, Iowa; Nellrene Kay Cross (Gary), Marshall, Mo.; Vicky Louise Salazar (Tony), Caldwell, Idaho; and Melanie Jean Bunch (Dave), Pevely, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Allen McDonough, 2 grandchildren, a sister Mary Jane Moss, and a brother Jim Lear.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Reverend Pete Hill officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cross Timbers Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Activities Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
