Obituary of Harold Dugger
Harold A. Dugger, 75, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2017, at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg, Mo.
He was born March 28, 1942, the son of Henry Howard Dugger, Sr., and Daisy Ella (Bell) Dugger. On August 12, 1978, in Windsor, Mo., he married Mary Ann Wassam and she survives of the home.
Harold served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 in Korea during the Vietnam war. He completed Police Academy training and worked in law enforcement in Windsor, Pettis County, and again in Windsor, retiring as Police Chief of the City of Windsor. He was a hard worker and often held down two jobs. Over the years, he had also worked in hospital security, drove a bus for the Calhoun school district, did maintenance for the former Windsor Resthaven nursing home, drove a skid loader for Chick Acker, made deliveries for Rural American Mini Barns, and worked for Special Products Company (SPC) in Windsor. He was a member of the Windsor VFW Post #2610 and enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, remodeling and building homes, and refinishing furniture.
In addition to his wife, Mary, survivors include 3 sons, Mike Dugger, State of Missouri; Randy Dugger, Liberty, Mo., Dereck Dugger, Windsor, Mo.; 2 daughters, Misty Burkett and Beth Todd (David), both of Windsor, Mo.; 9 grandchildren, Ryan Dugger, Cody Dugger, Clayton Dugger, and Josh Dugger, Kyle Moloski, Alyssa Moloski, and Nikki James, and Destinee Todd and Anjolee Todd; 2 great-grandsons, Dakota Moloski and Jayce Darnell; a brother Henry Howard, Jr.; a sister, Francis Dugger; 3 half-brothers, Gary Dugger, Danny Dugger, and Grant Dugger; a half-sister, Connie Sue Dugger; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, John Henry Dugger, Bill Dugger, Richard, Dugger, and Bobby Dugger; a sister, Evelyn Jones; and a half-sister, Ruby Jean Smith.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, July 17, 2017 at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, Mo., with Rev. Jamie Hargett officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Harold’s memory and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
