Katherine Margaret “Katie” Duval, 91, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Denver, Colorado, died early Saturday morning, August 25, 2018, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
She was born April 12, 1927, in Denver, CO, the daughter of Vincent James Coan and Elvira Cecilia (Johnson) Coan. On March 18, 1945, in Denver, she married Hurvie Benjamin Duval Jr., and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1995, after 50 years of marriage.
Katherine lived most of her life in the Denver area. She worked as a secretary to the owner of Economy Lumber for a number of years. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed playing golf, the mountains, and making silk flowers and silk flower arrangements.
Survivors include 3 children, Cheryl Cornish (Steve), Warsaw, MO; Mike Duval (Brenda), Parker, CO; and Scott Duval (Pamela), Aurora, CO; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a half-sister; 2 half-brothers; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Truxal.
Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on September 19, 2018, in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Englewood, CO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
