Connie Hughes, 69, of Windsor, Missouri, died Friday morning, March 1, 2019, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1949, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of Arnold “Curley” Woodall and Maureen Nell (Hampton) Woodall. On November 19, 1971, in Windsor, Mo., she married Louis Dean Hughes and he survives of the home.
Connie worked for the International Shoe Factory in Windsor and also Parmelee Industries in Windsor. She loved to bowl and play bingo and was a member of the American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary in Windsor. She was also a member of the Clinton VFW 1894 Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandsons, Trenton and Hunter, and her sweet “Snookie.”
In addition to her husband Dean, survivors include 2 grandsons, Trenton Dean Hughes, Warrensburg, Mo.; and Hunter Leland Hughes, Clinton, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Joe Hughes and his wife Kay, Donna, Tx.; a nephew Kevin Hughes and a niece Karen Hughes-Dahlgren; her family by love, Bobbie Phillips and her husband Brad and their children Gwen and Landon, Windsor, Mo.; and many cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by a son, Travis Dean Hughes on March 23, 2006, her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Beyer.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to the American Legion Post 82 and can be left in care of the funeral home.
