Hilda Ficken, 94, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Lincoln, Mo., died Tuesday evening, April 9, 2019, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
She was born July 30, 1924, in Cole Camp, Mo., the daughter of Louis O. Jagels and Katherine (Eckhoff) Jagels. On December 7, 1952, in Lincoln, Mo., she married Oliver Adolph Ficken and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1992.
Hilda was a homemaker and farm wife and loved tending her garden and flowers. She enjoyed taking pictures with her polaroid camera. In later years, she looked forward to bingo with her nursing home friends. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Heffner, Leeton, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Stacy Galvan (Anthony), Pleasant Hill, Mo., Kimberly Duke (Dillard Jr.), Chilhowee, Mo., Roxanne Petterson (Michael), Leeton, Mo., Crystal Hartwig (Seth), Warrensburg, Mo.; and Doug Heffner Jr. (fiancé Dana Dougherty) Knob Noster, Mo.; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her husband Oliver, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Herbert Jagels, Harold Jagels, and Roland Jagels and his wife Betty; and 2 sisters, Luella Holston, and Elsie Pearl Jagels.
Graveside Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lincoln, with Pastor Leonard Poppe officiating. The family suggests contributions to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Cemetery in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
