Lucille Mae “Lucy” Schlobohm, 77, of Windsor, Missouri died late Wednesday evening, October 23, 2019, at her home in Windsor.
She was born February 23, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Lafayette Wade Moon and Melvina (Peek) Moon. She married Cleo Dale Schlobohm in LaMonte, Mo., and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1988.
Lucy worked alongside her husband farming, truck driving, and also worked in construction for a brief time. She worked as a restaurant cook and was also an in-home caregiver for over 10 years.
Survivors include a son, Ronald D. Schlobohm (Dina), Windsor, Mo.; 2 daughters, Shelly Diederich (Matt), Higginsville, Mo.; and Debbie Tryon (Bruce), St. Croix, Virgin Islands; 5 grandchildren, Natasha Holt, Sarah Miller, Amanda Norton, Eric Barnes, and Kodi Schlobohm; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jane Stinson, Goldie Younce, and Ann Hontz; a brother, Lester Moon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jack Beasley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Scheila Barnes; a grandson, Timothy Wilson; a great-grandson, Kristopher Dawson; 4 brothers, Kenny Moon, David Moon, Alfred Moon, and Bud Moon; and 2 sisters, Barbara O’Dell and Dorothy Humphrey.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2019, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
