Myrtle R. Claycomb, 84, of Windsor, Missouri, died Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2020, at her home in Windsor. She was born January 24, 1936, in Lexington, Mo., the daughter of Alfred Mayo Ransdell and Sarah Martha (Bell) Ransdell. On August 11, 1955, she married James Ward “Buddy” Claycomb in Windsor and he survives of the home. Myrtle worked for a short time at the Windsor International Shoe Factory. She also worked as a medical technician at the former Windsor Resthaven Nursing Home and then Windsor Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and also knitting and crochet. She was a member of the Grace Community Church, Windsor. In addition to her husband Buddy, survivors include a brother, Jerry Ransdell (Dora), Jefferson City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin “Bud” Ransdell; 3 sisters, Carol Dillon, Nancy Cockrum, and Bonnie Dickens and two infant siblings, Linda Sue and John Alfred; and a nephew David Baker. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Rev. Bill Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
