Diana (Miller) Motley, 51, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas. She was born December 23, 1969, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of Earl Edward Miller Sr., and Carol Jane (Phifer) Rodewald. She married Clifford Frederick “Fred” Hampton and they were the parents of three sons, Frederick, Christopher, and Ronnie. She then married Ernest Leslie “Ernie” Motley and they were the parents of Dylon and Leslie. Diana lived most of her life in Windsor where she was known for the love she had for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a light to all those around her, and there was not a person she met that she didn't make friends with. She had the ability to talk to anyone and could always bring a smile to their face. She would always look for a way to make someone’s day better. Whether it be through a short kind text message or by a gift she gave you because she would see something and thought of you, or wanted to color you something to cheer you up with her most valued gel pen collection, or by beading together a piece of jewelry for you. She loved to be creative and share her art with others. She had the ability to make you feel special and cared for whether you were family or someone she had just met. She will be loved and missed! Survivors include 4 sons, Frederick Hampton (Taylor), Warsaw, Mo., Christopher Hampton (Angi), Lincoln, Mo., Ronnie Hampton (Lacy), Smithton, Mo., and Dylon Motley, Sedalia, Mo.; a daughter, Leslie Motley (Austin Kamery), Sedalia, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Denise Mayes, and Deborah Miller, 3 brothers, Eric Miller, Daniel Beyer, and Michael Beyer; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and Michael Hampton of the home. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Earl Miller. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Jamie Hargett officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
