Vanessa Kay Butterwick, 63, of Windsor, Missouri, died Monday morning, February 14, 2022, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. She was born August 17, 1958, the daughter of Warren Wendell “Bud” Utt and Diane Sue (McAllister) Utt in Windsor, Mo. Vanessa graduated from Windsor High School in 1976. She worked for the International Shoe Factory and Parmelee Industries in Windsor. She also worked at Country Mart in Clinton and then at Windsor Health & Rehabilitation for several years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and watching NASCAR. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor. Survivors include a son, PK Butterwick (Brandy), Whitewright, Texas; a daughter, Dana Gould (William), Calera, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Daisy and David Gould; a sister, Valerie Hill, Windsor, Mo.; a brother, Brian Utt (JingJing), Bay Point, California; 2 aunts, Kay Corder and Janis Combs; and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Jim and Wilma McAllister and Noah and Leona Utt; a brother, Bruce Utt; and a niece Joselyn Reeves. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Pastor Pete Hill officiating. Contributions in Vanessa’s memory are suggested to Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation for the Activity Fund in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
