LaDonna Uptegrove, 83, of Windsor, Missouri, died Sunday morning, May 22, 2022, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. She was born July 28, 1938, in Rayville, Mo., the daughter of Harvey Garrett and Eunice Louise (Lawrence) Garrett. On September 7, 1956, she married Harold Lee Uptegrove in Stover, Mo., and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1996. In 2017, she married Larry Eldo Uptegrove and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2020. LaDonna attended cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser in Windsor for several years. She then worked as a bus driver for the Henry County R-1 school district for a number of years before her retirement. She enjoyed showing her American Saddlebred parade horse “Queen” and won many blue ribbons. She always had a beautiful flower garden and enjoyed drawing, painting, quilting, sewing, crochet, and knitting. She loved her grandchildren dearly. Survivors include 2 daughters, Laura Uptegrove, Grain Valley, Mo., and Renee Peel, Adrian, Mo.; a step-son, Shawn Uptegrove, Warrensburg, Mo.; 8 grandchildren, Andrea, Aaron, Hannah, Brice, Brenna, Brooke, Travis and Rachel; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way; a sister, Lola Karin Aranda, Blue Springs, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Kent Uptegrove (Jane), Stover, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Frona Bruce, Warrensburg, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Harold Lee and her husband Larry, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rhonda DeLong; a grandson, Brandon Peel; and 2 brothers, Richard Garrett and Randy Garrett. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
