Marvin Helseth, 76, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday morning, September 15, 2022, at his home near Windsor. He was born August 2, 1946, in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Melvin Helseth and Opal (Getchell) Helseth. He married Marilyn Louise Hood, and they shared over 44 years together. After high school, Marvin served from 1966 to 1968 in the United States Army. He worked for several years in the oil fields in North Dakota. He then started a 44-year career with Boeing in Seattle. He enjoyed working around the airplanes and learned to fly and took pride in having his own plane. He also enjoyed air shows and classic car shows. He was a member of the Mother Aerie #1 in Seattle. Survivors include his wife Marilyn of the home; a son James Luckett (Tiffany), Windsor, Mo.; 3 daughters, Rose Campbell (Burl), Leeton, Mo., Marla Markham, Windsor, Mo., and Pamela Tessmer (Jonathan), Windsor, Mo.; 23 grandchildren, Gennifer, Christa, Nicole, Jessica, Kayla, Marlena, Aiden, Pamela, James, Ricky, Draven, Mikel, Nicole, Jayme, Cheyanne, Lyla, Carie, Donnie, Ryan, Kai, Ashley, Taylor, and Michael; 18 great-grandchildren, Emily, Tomika, Mackenna, Fay, Tate, Nash, Evelyn, Logun, Oaklynn, Vana, Theo, Marvin, Trinity, Matthew, Madison, Kinley, Tori, and Ronnie; a sister, Ardith Johnson, Plaza, North Dakota; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Raymond Helseth and Allen Helseth; and a brother-in-law, Vernon Johnson. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Regina Hix officiating. Burial will be in the Houstonia Cemetery, Houstonia, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the family and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
