Obituary of Jerry Lindsay, Jr.
Jerry Lindsay Jr., 48, of Ionia, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at his home.
He was born November 22, 1967, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Jerry Ronald Lindsay and Sharon Yvonne (Miller) Lindsay.
Jerry attended Belton High School and lived in the Kansas City area for a number of years. He worked for Coleman Diecasting for several years and had also worked delivering pallets. Jerry was a life-long lover of nature. He enjoyed fishing and the peace and quiet of walking through the woods with his canine “buddy” Mac.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Curley, Ionia, Mo.; a son, Joshua Lindsay, Harrisonville, Mo.; a daughter, Ashley Lindsay, Harrisonville, Mo.; 2 sisters, Rebecca West, Windsor, Mo.; and Christina Garrett, Sedalia, Mo.; a brother, Larry Lindsay and his wife Tabitha, Ionia, Mo; a half-brother, Donald Chastain, Grandview, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lindsay on October 3, 2008; his step-dad, Robert L. Curley; his paternal grandfather, Theodore Lindsay; his paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Roberts; his maternal grandmother, Lois West; and a brother-in-law, Jeff McFerrin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2016, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Van Mellen officiating. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. A fund has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
