Obituary of Sharon (Lindsay) Curley

Sharon (Lindsay) Curley, 70, of Ionia, Missouri, died early Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018, at her home in Ionia surrounded by family.

She was born January 29, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Wayne Miller and Lois (West) Miller. She married Jerry Ronald Lindsay, Sr., and they were the parents of 4 children. On January 29, 1991, in Independence, Mo., she married Robert Lloyd Curley and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2002.

Sharon was a certified medical technician and worked in several nursing homes, including Longview Nursing Home in Grandview, Mo. She was baptized at the Poplar Baptist Church, Warsaw, Mo. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, flowers, being outdoors, listening to Country music and spending time with her family and her animals.

Survivors include a son, Larry Lindsay and his girlfriend Brenda, Windsor, Mo.; 2 daughters, Rebecca West and Christina Garrett, both of Ionia, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Tabitha Lindsay, Ionia, Mo.; 17 grandchildren including Mitchell Beers, Crystal McFerrin, and Jake McFerrin; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Miller; several nieces and nephews including Donald Chastain, Grandview, Mo.; and several cousins. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Lindsay, Jr.; 2 grandsons, Matthew Beers and Jerry Lindsay McFerrin; and a granddaughter Haleigh Lindsay.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Ben Teague officiating. Burial will be in the Higginsville Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service.
