Obituary of Lyndle Lyon
Lyndle Lyon, 57, of Harrisonville, Mo., formerly of Calhoun, Mo., died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, Mo.
He was born July 31, 1960, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of Stuart Leroy Lyon and Phylura Mae (Martin) Lyon. Lyndle was artistic and enjoyed drawing. He like to play chess and working puzzles, including Rubik’s Cubes. He was good at mathematics and had a dry sense of humor that often took those around him by surprise. He like to watch tennis on TV and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan.
Survivors include 3 brothers, Cecil Wayne Lyon, Windsor, Mo.; John Lyon, Prescott Valley, Arizona; and Arnold Lyon (Pam), Jefferson City, Mo.; 2 sisters, Celura Books (Leroy), Calhoun, Mo.; and Delilah Brock (Joe), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a step-brother, Roy Lyon, State of Iowa; an aunt, Bobbie Shaw, Enid, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Twyla Phyllis Lyon in 1978; a niece, Phylura Lyon; and a step-brother, Stuart “Joe” Lyon.
Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at 406 W. 34th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111 or in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
