Obituary of Albert "Buddy" Fannon
Albert V. “Buddy” Fannon, 64, of Windsor, Missouri, died Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018, at the Fairview Nursing Home, Sedalia, Mo.
He was born July 24, 1954, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Richard Fannon and June Vanugh. On February 14, 1977, in Lawson, Mo., he married Leanna Sue Bowers and she survives of the home.
Buddy worked for the railroad and then for Sloan Seed Company for a number of years. He loved old books, antiques, watching Western movies, and listening to old music. He was a hard worker and enjoyed mowing yards on the side with his sons. Albert was grateful for the opportunity to spend time with his family, especially Leanna and Tommy, during his last few months while in the nursing home.
In addition to his wife, Anna, survivors include 3 sons, James Raymond Richard Fannon, Elmo Eugene Fannon, and William Holton Fannon, all of Windsor, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Carissa, Kyra, Chantel, Tia, Quinton, and Leah; Anna, who he thought of as a granddaughter; 4 brothers, Kenny Fannon, Council Bluffs, Ia., Eddie Fannon, State of Idaho, Richard Fannon, State of Iowa, and Donald Fannon, San Francisco, California; a sister, Linda Haskins, Cedar Rapids, Oregon; his mother-in-law, Arletta Teegarden, Windsor, Mo.; 2 brothers-in-law, Giles Bowers (Julia) and Dennis Bowers (Debbie) all of Windsor, Mo.; 2 sisters-in-law, Nancy Dunbar (Gary) and Jeanette Hargrave (Rodney), all of Windsor, Mo.; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Duffy Fannon; and a sister, Patty.
Cremation is planned per Albert’s wishes. A life celebration will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Windsor Farrington Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
