Obituary of Laura (Warner) Allen
Laura Lee (Warner) Allen, 56, of Wheeling Illinois, died Sunday, November 18, 2018. She had bravely confronted, fought, and overcame cancer. She was born November 14, 1962 in Lebanon, Missouri, to David and Patricia Warner. She married Jim Allen on June 2, 1984, and he survives.
Also surviving are her father and mother David and Patricia Warner of Windsor, Missouri; one sister Julie Heavrin (Bo Hessee) of Springfield, Missouri; one brother Matt (Penni) Warner of Holden Missouri; 6 nieces and nephews, Emily Heavrin, Danielle Heavrin (Jeremy Mahan), Mary Beth Warner, Weston Warner, Charlie Warner, and Everett Warner; and a great-nephew, Joey Mahan. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Laura was baptized at the First Baptist Church, Windsor, by Rev. Melvin Hill Sr., on May 2, 1971 at the age of 8. Laura was a graduate of Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri) in Graphic Arts. She loved the beauty of the earth and everyday life. An avid photographer, she had the special gift of capturing and living life by sharing her passions.
A Celebration of Laura’s Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. There will be a time of sharing at 2:30 p.m. led by Pastor Pete Hill. The family suggests contributions in memory of Laura to Windsor’s Farrington Park for flowers to be added to the park.
