Obituary of Pearl Mills
Pearl Mills, 96, of Green Ridge, Mo., died Monday morning, December 3, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, Mo.
She was born September 3, 1922, in Forrest, Louisiana, the daughter of William Morris Puckett and Mattie Jane (Hales) Puckett. On February 19, 1946 in Topeka, Kansas, she married Ralph Eugene Mills and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1993. She was a homemaker and had devoted the last 40 years of her life taking care of her grandson, Michael Mills of the home.
Survivors include 2 sons, Morris Gene Mills, Green Ridge, Mo.; and Donald Mills, Park City, Illinois; 2 daughters, Diane Rusche, Calhoun, Mo.; and Mary Kristine Powers, Clinton, Mo.; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Puckett, Farmerville, La.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her husband Ralph, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald “Tony” Mills on June 28, 2014, and a sister, Melba Biggs.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Ron Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Green Ridge Cemetery, Green Ridge, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Green Ridge Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
