Obituary of Peggy Hampton
Peggy Hampton, 65, of Clinton, Missouri, died early Tuesday morning, January 1, 2019, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born May 15, 1953, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of William Lee Hampton and Betty Elaine (Burton) Hampton.
After graduating from Windsor High School in 1971, she began work at Rival Manufacturing in Clinton and worked as a final assembly supervisor until the plant closed in 2003. She then worked at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital from 2003 until her retirement on May 15, 2018, as a ward clerk. Peggy enjoyed keeping up with her daily soap operas and traveling.
Survivors include her best friend James Dennis, Clinton, Mo.; 2 sisters, Debbie Bowers (Dennis), Windsor, Mo.; Kimberley Zimmer (John), Roanoke, Indiana; 5 nephews, Chris Neill (Rhonda), Warrensburg, Mo.; Brent Neill (Kris Claiborne), Pontiac, Illinois; Aaron Neill (Felisha Danner), Windsor, Mo.; Caleb Charron (Christa), Clinton, Mo.; and Alex Charron, Clinton, Mo., a niece, Abby Charron, Roanoke, Indiana; 2 aunts, Paula Hampton and Katheryn Hampton, both of Windsor, Mo.; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
Peggy’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2018, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation in care of the funeral home.
