Obituary of Richard Wall
Richard Wall, 80, of Clinton, Missouri, formerly of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, died Thursday afternoon, April 25, 2019, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
He was born August 4, 1938, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the son of Edgar Harry Wall and Pauline Marie (Yohe) Wall. On January 16, 1976, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he married Betty Jane George and she preceded him in death on March 18, 2014.
Richard worked as an auto mechanic for Pasco Motor Company in Carnegie, Pa., for 9 years. After this time, he and Betty moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia, and he worked for Eastern Airlines and then U-Haul as an auto mechanic. He also worked for Cadillac Jack, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed brain-teaser puzzles and playing chess and canasta with friends. Attending dirt track races with family in Missouri was also something he enjoyed.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Mary Jane Brethauer (Eric), Portersville, Pa.; Judy Vincent (Steve), Leeton, Mo.; Marsha Neel, Freeport, Pa.; and Sharlene Wilson, Valley, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marlin E. “Skip” Wall, Naples, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Stonebrook and a brother, Eddie H. Wall.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Clinton Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Saxonburg, Pa., at a later date.
