Obituary of Cody Bennefeld
Cody Michael Bennefeld, 25, of Clinton, Missouri, died early Saturday morning, September 7, 2019, as the result of a vehicle accident in rural Henry County, Missouri, near Roseland.
He was born December 1, 1993, in Clinton, Mo., the son of Ronald Dean Bennefeld and Ann Marie (Redding) Bilbruck. Cody spent much of his childhood in Lincoln, Mo., where he went to school and graduated in 2012. Cody was very passionate about sports and during his time at Lincoln High School, he excelled greatly in basketball, baseball, and soccer. After graduation he attended State Fair Community College. Cody was always an adventurous and outgoing young man, and in his free time when he wasn’t playing sports, he spent countless hours in the woods or on the water, where he loved to hunt and fish.
He worked as a sign installer for Waite Outdoors in Sedalia and most recently was employed with Church & Dwight Co. (Arm & Hammer) in Harrisonville, Mo.
Cody was a bright soul that had an incredible ability to make a new friend everywhere he went. He brought people into his circle without a second’s hesitation. It didn’t matter who they were, once you were his friend, you would always be his friend. His smile was contagious and could light up the darkest room. His goofy laugh was enough to warm your heart. He didn’t just have a heart of gold, Cody was simply golden. Cody was silly, charismatic, hilarious, as well as a bit stubborn and hardheaded. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
