Barbara Ann (McCown) Roberts, 78, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2020, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation. She was born January 19, 1942, in Windsor, the daughter of Elzie Ivan “Ink” McCown and Helen Louise (McDonald) McCown. On November 4, 1960, she married Robert Eugene “Bob” Roberts at the Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor and he survives of the home. Barbara and Bob enjoyed 59 years together. Barbara was a 1960 graduate of Windsor High School. She worked for the Windsor International Shoe Company and the Windsor Review for a time and did babysitting in her home. She worked for the Citizens State Bank in Calhoun for over 20 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of DAR, TOPS, and the garden club in Windsor. In addition to her husband Bob, survivors include their three children, Robbie Roberts (Anne), Calhoun, Mo., Bo Ann Peck (Todd), Green Ridge, Mo., and Becci Hale (Paul), Springfield, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Bailey Roberts, Cody Roberts, Bre Anna Peck, Ashlyn Peck, and Preston Hale; a great-grandson, Jackson Roberts and a great-grandchild on the way; a brother, Tom McCown, Sedalia, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Robert Lewis McCown in infancy, and Jerry Lee McCown, and a sister, Deborah Louise McCown. Graveside services with social distancing will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Rev. Clif Dudley officiating. Services will be streamed live from Barbara’s Tribute Page at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com. Friends may call Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. A memorial fund has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
