Obituary of Sharon Hunter
Sharon Hunter, 83, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, died early Friday morning, June 5, 2020, at her home in Windsor. She was born September 8, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Spearo Gray Medcalf and Clara (Wurtz) Medcalf. She married James Gray Hunter in 1972, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2012. Sharon worked for GE in Evansville, Indiana. She also worked as a Civil Service secretary on several United States Air Force bases over the years. She enjoyed playing Bingo with several area organizations, including the Windsor Senior Center and the Clinton VFW. She liked going to the beach and to the mountains and was fond of country music, especially the group Alabama. Survivors include 3 daughters, Jeanne Millsap-Beas (Terry), Clinton, Mo., Sandra Underwood, Windsor, Mo., and Linda Muntean (Rick), New Bern, North Carolina; a niece, Jamie Clark (Terry), Spencer, Ind., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Earl Skelton. No services are planned at this time. Interment will be at a later date in the Southland Memorial Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, next to the Alabama music theatre. A memorial fund has been established for Sharon and contributions may be left in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
