Obituary of George "Bill" Craig
George William “Bill” Craig, 75, of Windsor, Missouri, died early Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020, at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. He was born August 22, 1944, in Oak Grove, Mo., the son of Clarence Arthur Craig and Dorothy Claudeen (Grote) Craig. On July 6, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, he married Marilyn Kay Loyd and they enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage. Bill was a jeweler and owned and operated Craig’s Jewelry in Windsor for a number of years. He was an avid collector and especially enjoyed collecting trains. In addition to his wife Marilyn, survivors include 2 sons, William Craig (Sheri) and John Craig all of Windsor, Mo.; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Cardwell (Alisyn Clark and her son Kellen), Danielle Craig (Dillon Searcy), Parker Craig, and Brody Craig; 3 brothers-in-law, William “Pete” Loyd, Arkansas City, Kansas; Ronnie Loyd (Becky), Fort Scott, Ks., and Harold Loyd (Linda), Clinton, Mo.; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy Nelson (Larry), Ashland, Mo.; and Betty Minnie, Arkansas City, Ks.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, LeRoy Craig. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Mo., with Pastor Pete Hill officiating. Friends may call (no formal visitation) at the Hadley Funeral Home on Thursday from Noon to 8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses and contributions may be left in care of the Hadley Funeral Home.
