Obituary of Don Neill

Don Neill, 71, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Wright City, Mo., died late Friday afternoon, June 19, 2020, at his home. He was born August 15, 1948, in St. Charles, Mo., the son of Daniell Moses Neill and Mildred Constance (Wright) Neill. On November 9, 1978, in Tiptonville, Tennessee, he married Kathy S. Walters and she survives of the home. Don graduated from Wright City High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1968 to 1972 and in the National Guard from 1977 to 1979. He worked for General Motors for over 22 years, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #29, the American Legion, and the Marine Corps League. In addition to his wife Kathy, survivors include a daughter Laura Held and her husband, Jon, Franklin, Mo.; 2 grandchildren, Zachery and Sophia Held; a brother, Daniell Neill and his wife Doris, Wright City, Mo.; 2 nephews, Michael Neill and David Neill; and several great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Masonic services will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2020, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Salvation Army and may be left in care of the funeral home.
