Obituary of Robert "Bob" Roberts

Robert E. “Bob” Roberts, 80, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. He was born January 13, 1940, near Clinton, Mo., the son of Orval Lee Roberts Sr., and Etheal May (Tullis) Roberts. On November 4, 1960, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann McCown, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor. They enjoyed 59 ½ years of marriage and she preceded him in death on May 27, 2020. Bob graduated from Clinton High School. He worked a variety of jobs including the Windsor International Shoe Factory, McCown Salvage Yard and owned R&S Used Cars. Bob worked for Windsor Livestock Auction and his life work was trading and selling horses and cattle. Bob and his son worked together to establish Robert’s Livestock. He spent many hours at livestock auctions and with his coffee shop friends. He enjoyed time with his dog Roscoe. Bob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor. Survivors include their three children, Robbie Roberts (Anne), Calhoun, Mo., Bo Ann Peck (Todd), Green Ridge, Mo., and Becci Hale (Paul), Springfield, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Bailey Roberts, Cody Roberts, Bre Anna Peck, Ashlyn Peck, and Preston Hale; 2 great-grandsons, Jackson Roberts and Hunter Roberts; a brother Orval Lee Roberts, Jr., and 3 sisters, Shirley Meyer, Betty (Hal) Ross and MaryAnna (Jim) Wareham, all of Clinton, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Rev. Clif Dudley officiating. A video recording of the graveside service will be available to watch on Bob’s tribute page within 24 hours of the time of the service. Friends may call to sign the book and pay respects on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, masks are requested.
