Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Ridenour

Mary Elizabeth Ridenour, 82, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at her home near Windsor. She was born April 14, 1938, in Havana, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Ernest Knatcal and Bertha Evelyn (Barnett) Knatcal. On August 18, 1956, she married James Edward Ridenour at the First Baptist Church in Windsor and he survives of the home. Mary went to high school in Sedalia, Mo. She was baptized by the Salvation Army as a youth. She worked for Garth Drive In for 2 years. After her marriage to James, she worked at the Windsor International Shoe Factory for 29 years, retiring in 1985. She then worked as a seamstress for Neet Products in Sedalia making products for Cabelas. Throughout the years, she helped James on the family farm. She also raised a big garden, canned, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, refinishing furniture and going to garage sales. She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor. In addition to her husband James, survivors include 4 children, James Lee Ridenour, Windsor, Mo., Amy Lou Ewing, Trenton, Mo., Paul Duane Ridenour (Shelley), Windsor, Mo., and Barbara Ann Blaylock, Windsor, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Patrick Ridenour, Brianna Ridenour, Jessica Crowder (Jason), Christan Logan, Mike Adams (Deanna), Hannah Galloway (Robert), Jaci Millam (Chad), Chris Ridenour (Liz), Nicole Ridenour, Heather Blaylock (Donovan), and Megan Bentley (Josh); 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Junior Knatcal; a sister, Stella Antle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ernestine Hays. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Tom Renfro officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery, Manila, Mo. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Golden Valley Hospice in care of the funeral home.
