Jean Neugebauer, 77, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday morning, January 14, 2021, at E.W. Thompson Health & Rehabilitation Center, Sedalia, Mo. She was born May 8, 1943, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of William Harrison Wooldridge and Helen Louise (Spalding) Wooldridge. She married Gary Hamline in 1971 and they were the parents of three children, Marna, Heath, and Callie. Jean later married Robert “Bob” Neugebauer in 1991 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2016. Jean graduated from the House of Heavilin Beauty College in Blue Springs, Mo., and then managed the college. She then worked as a distribution manager for Adams-Lanter Distributing in Kansas City for a number of years, retiring in 1988. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed blending her love of travel and golf by playing on golf courses around the world. She was a caregiver for animals of all kinds, always making sure food was available for any animal or pet in need. Among the animals she cared for, her boxer, Max, was a beloved, faithful companion. She loved taking care of her family, especially cooking for them, and was always thinking of others. Survivors include 3 children, Marna Beard (Jeff), Kansas City, Mo., Heath Hamline (Jennifer), Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Callie Turpin (Troy), Sedalia, Mo.; a step-son, Eric Neugebauer (Mandy), Lenexa, Kansas; 7 grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, Kayla, Tristen, Caleb, Ashton, and Landon; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joy Williams (Billy), Windsor, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joan Curtright and her husband Carl; and a nephew Curt Curtright. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will follow in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to Pawsibilities Are Endless and may be left in care of the funeral home.
