Obituary of James Olin Parks

James O. Parks, 41, of Madison, Mississippi, died February 21, 2021, near Madison in Flowood, MS. He was born July 12, 1979, in Clinton, Missouri, the son of Olin L. Parks II and Lemira L. Stubbs Parks. He leaves his parents, Olin and Lemira Parks, his sister, Susan (Zac) Cherrington, his half-sister, Jennifer Slater, his Grandmother, Ruby Parks, and Uncles, Larry Parks, Michael (Rosanne) Parks, Mark (Lisa) Parks, and Kevin (Nancy) Parks. Additionally, he leaves the following nephews and niece: Jackson Cherrington, Carson Cherrington, Paige (Kyle) Matthews, and Jordan (Alexandra) Litz. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather Olin L. Parks, his Maternal Grandparents, James Frederick Stubbs and Helen Louis Posten Stubbs. As a young man, James attended a number of schools as his parents were educators and administrators. James graduated Caruthersville #18 School District (MO) in 1998 and attended University of Central Missouri where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. James spent about 20 years in the restaurant business, the last four years with Buffalo Wild Wings where he was a manager. James really enjoyed his work and patrons. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Ronald McDonald House in James’ memory and may be left in care of the funeral home.
