Obituary of Betty Chartier Rennert

Betty (Chartier) Rennert, 82, of Snohomish, Washington, formerly of Windsor, Missouri, died Tuesday evening, February 23, 2021 at her home in Snohomish. She was born July 28, 1938, in LaMonte, Mo., the daughter of Murrel William Roark and Katie Bell (Folsom), Roark. On July 20, 1957, she married Romeo Clarence “Ray” Chartier in Clinton, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1999. On January 8, 2003, she married John Rennert in Washington and he survives of the home. Betty worked for the Army Corp of Engineers for a number of years. She managed the construction office in Warsaw during the construction of the Truman Dam. She was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Windsor, and sang in the choir of the church. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, making scrapbooks, reading, and traveling. She enjoyed trips and gatherings with her Red Hat Society friends and sang with Village Voices in Snohomish. In addition to her husband John, survivors include a son, Brian Paul Chartier, Windsor, Mo; 2 daughters, Rosanne Marie Parks (Michael), Windsor, Mo., and Catherine Jean Logan (Michael), Denver, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Christopher B. Chartier (Rula), Matthew P. Chartier (Angelica), Michelle Parks, Bethany Ann Brown, and Connor Logan; 4 great-grandchildren, Amy Suad Chartier, and Eva, Lily, and Harrison Brown; and a great-granddaughter on the way; several step-children and step-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Marjorie Acker, Overland Park, Kansas, Elaine Yager, Gardner, Ks., and Connie Bowlin, Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Colette Chartier, a granddaughter, Amy Chartier Provost; a sister, Phyllis Achey, and a brother, Don Roark. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friends may sign the book and pay their respects beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Masks are required for the visitation and service. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
