Obituary of Jean Cox
Jean Cox, 75, of Calhoun, Missouri, died early Thursday morning, July 22,2021, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor. She was born December 2, 1945, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Carl Joseph Goff and Ethel Dale (Harvey) Goff. On June 5, 1971, she married Larry Harold Cox in Blue Springs, Mo., and he survives of the home. Jean worked for the Social Security Administration for over 25 years. After retirement, she and Larry lived full-time on the farm. She enjoyed riding and keeping horses from a young age. She enjoyed shopping and was also kind to all animals and always made provision for the dogs and cats that arrived on the farm. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor. In addition to her husband Larry, Jean is survived by several nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Friends may stop by and sign the book and pay their respects Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
