Obituary of Janice Hosking
Janice Hosking, 82, of Leeton, Missouri, died early Saturday morning, October 2, 2021, at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo. She was born January 17, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Leo Keith Nethersole and Virginia (Adorno) Nethersole. She married Robert Thomas Hosking and he preceded her in death in 1982. Janice worked as a nurse but spent most of her years caring for foster children. After moving to Missouri in the late 1990s, Janice became a member of the Leeton Christian Church. She was church secretary for over 17 years and volunteered in many ways, including changing the church sign, participating in Women of Faith, and fixing her famous ham and jello salads for funeral dinners. She sang with the Sweet Adelines of Sedalia. Janice was a kind, loving, and selfless Mother and never failed to do everything she could to help those around her. Survivors include her children, Jacqueline Renee Ross, Tennessee; Keith Allen Hosking, Simi Valley, California; Caitlyn Renee Humphreys (Dillon), Platte City, Mo., Melinda Helena Hosking, Sedalia, Mo., Robert Thomas Hosking, Tennessee; Justin Ross, Simi Valley, California; and Kendal Hosking and Brett Hosking of the home; and 8 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Mykel, Kyle, Ariel, Weston, Hunter, David, Jasmine, and Cory. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Hosking, and long-time friend, Jim Holloway. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Mo., with Dr. Dan Lowry officiating. The family suggests contributions to the Leeton Christian Church in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
