Obituary of Gary Maples
Gary Maples, 68, of Windsor, Missouri, died Monday morning, November 1, 2021, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. He was born March 18, 1953, in Versailles, Mo., the son of Junior Earl Maples and Margaret Ellen (McMilian) Maples. On December 5, 2015, in Harrison, Arkansas, he married Christine Kay Reno and she survives of the home. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1977 in the 82nd Airborne Division. He worked as a driver for Tyson in Berryville, Arkansas and for Coca Cola. After moving back to Windsor, he worked at his parent’s bar, JR’s Saloon, for several years. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his wife Christine Maples of the home, survivors include 3 brothers, Larry Maples, Lawton, Ok.; Steve Maples (Diane), Sanford, North Carolina; and Russell Maples (Crystal), Waller, Texas; a sister, Carolyn Brayfield, Branson, Mo.; an aunt, Emma Johnson (Bill); and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Bill Maples and Terry Maples; and 2 nephews, Steven Christopher Maples and Johnny Earl Maples. Burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville will be held at a future date. The family suggests contributions to help with funeral expenses and contributions can be left in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
