Obituary of Walter Brickey
Walter E. Brickey, 63, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday evening, November 3, 2021, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, Mo. He was born November 17, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of John Sutton Brickey and Ona Fay Brown. He grew up in the Lone Jack area. On October 18, 2008, he married Patricia Ann Lisle on the farm in Green Ridge where they resided until the remodeling of their home in Windsor was complete. Everything they did, they did together and had a very happy thirteen years together. Walter was a carpenter and always worked hard at everything he did. A cowboy at heart, he enjoyed horses and the outdoors and spent his free time hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife Patti, survivors include a daughter, Tara Barrett (Jeremy), Oklahoma; 3 stepchildren, Jeramy Bridgman (Traci), Amie Stanley, and Tammi Stanley all of Vero Beach, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Dakota, Gage, Talon, and Rhianna; his brothers and sisters, Shirleen Herrick (Brian), Lanora Campbell (David), Shannon Thomas (Bill), John Brickey (Donna), Marilyn Sturgeon (Tom), and Willis Brickey (Karen); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Brown Cemetery near Lone Jack, Mo., with Pastor David Campbell officiating.
