Obituary of Ada May Seaton

Ada May Seaton, 85, of Windsor, Missouri, died early Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born April 16, 1936, in Macks Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Roy Lee Eidson and Ferba Fern (Warren) Eidson. On July 20, 1951, she married Herbert Wade Seaton in Macks Creek and they shared 70 years of marriage. Ada May was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family by helping Herb on the farm, cooking wonderful meals, and singing to the grandchildren. She enjoyed Karaoke sing-alongs and helping take care of the grandchildren. Earlier in their marriage while living in Independence, Herb and Ada May were instrumental in the founding and building of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and Harmony Heights Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Edith, Mo. In addition to her husband Herb, survivors include a son, Ellis Seaton (Debbie), Windsor, Mo.; 2 daughters, Sharon Kay Charlton (Don), Windsor, Mo., and Saundra Overton, Windsor, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Jason Seaton (Cindy), Tim Seaton (Angie), Don Charlton Jr. (Becky), Shannon Charlton (Crystal), Kaley Overton, and Zac Overton; 13 great-grandchildren, Andy, Aaron, Justin, Sean, Emily, Jaelen, John, Anthony, Jaxon, Dillon, Zoie, Alexis, and Kori May; 2 great-great-grandsons, Sawyer and Josiah; a brother, Leon Eidson (Linda), Windsor, Mo.; a sister, Karen Weno (Robert), Independence, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law Fred Overton; a grandson Cody Charlton; a great-grandson Jeffrey Seaton; and 3 brothers, Tom Eidson, Roy Lee “R.L.” Eidson, and Don Eidson. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Larry Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Friday before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks are requested for both the visitation and funeral. The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association (Heart of America Chapter) in care of the funeral home.
