Obituary of Wanda Howard

Wanda Howard, 86, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Windsor, Mo., died early Friday morning, December 31, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. She was born January 18, 1935, in Climax Springs, Mo., the daughter of Tom Crouch and Artie Misha (Morris) Crouch. On May 25, 1957, she married Billy V. “Bill” Howard, at the Baptist Church parsonage in Windsor and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2012. After high school, Wanda worked at the Camden County Courthouse. She then worked at Sears in Kansas City before moving to Windsor and working at the International Shoe Factory. She worked for several years at MFA in Windsor and then for Community Bank in Green Ridge and Sedalia. She retired after working for MFA Agri Services in Sedalia. Wanda was an excellent cook and spent many hours working in her garden. She also enjoyed crochet and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of Banister Baptist Church in Macks Creek, Mo. Survivors include a son, Jerry Howard (Murica), Smithton, Mo.; a daughter, Cathy Berube (Tim), Sedalia, Mo.; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Berube, Columbia, Mo., and Jeremy Howard (Melissa), Santaquin, Utah; 2 step-granddaughters, Leta Drew, Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Stephanie Fowler Hawley, Crestview, Florida; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Jesse Crouch, Windsor, Mo., William “Sonny” Crouch (Kathleen), Halfway, Mo., Paul Crouch (Martha), Windsor, Mo., and Earl Crouch (Gidget), Sedalia, Mo.; 2 brothers-in-law, Bob Howard, Windsor, Mo.; and Carroll Howard (Linda), Sedalia, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Joyce Ebeling, Warrensburg, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Misha Howard, a brother, Charles Crouch, and a sister, Betty Smallwood. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Ron Jobe officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Bothwell Foundation to benefit the CCU Department and may be left in care of the funeral home.
