Obituary of Ronnie Johnson

Ronnie Johnson, 76, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home near Windsor. He was born May 5, 1945, near Windsor, the son of William Eugene Johnson and Myrtle Elizabeth (Elliott) Johnson. On June 4, 1967, he married Janice Elaine Bartels and she survives of the home. Ronnie was a 1963 graduate of Windsor High School. He farmed all his life, starting with his father as a young boy. He worked several years for Alcan Cable in Sedalia and also as a building and grounds manager at Tyson Foods in Sedalia for 16 years. He owned and operated Johnson Frozen Foods with his wife for 14 years and continued farming and raising cattle in his retirement. He was a founding member and long-time President of the former W.A.C.O. organization in Windsor. He raised Quarter Horses and attended many horse shows with his sons and was currently raising bucking bulls. Ronnie enjoyed cooking and preparing for many large events over the years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor, and accepted Jesus as his Savior in 2019. In addition to his wife Janice, survivors include 2 sons, Brian Johnson (Rachel), Sedalia, Mo., and Ryan Johnson, Windsor, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Cameron Hoehns (Shane), Marissa Ivie (William), Payton Johnson, and Landon Johnson; 3 great-grandsons, Orion Ivie, Oliver Ivie, and Elliott Hoehns; a brother, Leroy Johnson, Windsor, Mo.; 2 sisters, Wanda Kreisel (Marvin), Warrensburg, Mo., and Arlene Woolery (Stanley), Windsor, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marge Goodrick. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Justin Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Point Cemetery, rural Green Ridge, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
