Obituary of Bill Marlow

William G. “Bill” Marlow, 72, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. He was born April 20, 1950, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Gerald Eugene Marlow and Leona Mae (Mahan) Marlow. The family lived in Missouri, Colorado, Maryland, California, and Indiana, with most of his childhood years spent in Colorado. On May 20, 1978, he married Nancy Lee Parks at the Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor and she survives of the home. Bill served in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1969-1971 and then served in the Army Reserves until 1975. He worked for the Clearfield and Schreiber cheese plants in Clinton for 41 years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed wood carving, oil painting, and sketching. He was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church, the Windsor VFW Post #2610, the DAV Chapter #67 in Butler, Mo., and the Forty and Eight veteran’s organization in Sedalia. In addition to his wife Nancy, survivors include 3 sisters, Susan “Suzie” Mullan (Terry), Bolivar, Mo., Nancy Lou Hellem, Kansas City, Mo., and Janet Kay Utt, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, David Eugene Marlow (Billie), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 sisters-in-law, Ann Bohrn, Overland Park, Kansas, and Robin Feldman (David), Torrance, California; a brother-in-law, Bob Parks (Janet), Clinton, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Peggy Ann Marlow Sugihara; a brother-in-law, Bill Parks and a sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Parks. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Pete Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Windsor United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
