Obituary of William "Bill" Fosnow

William “Bill” Fosnow, 73, of Windsor, Missouri, died early Friday morning, August 12, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, Mo. He was born April 9, 1949, in Windsor, Mo., the middle of nine children born to John William Fosnow and Laree May (Swisher) Fosnow. On February 28, 1969, he married Gloria Jean Maxwell at the Eldorado United Methodist Church near Green Ridge, Mo., and she survives of the home. Bill was a 1968 graduate of Windsor High School. He worked for the City of Windsor for several years before going to work for McVean Cattle Company and then B & F Dairy. Bill went back to work for the city with his wife Gloria, managing Farrington Park. Windsor was blessed to have Bill’s loving care of the park for almost 25 years. Bill gave his heart to Jesus in 1996 and was a member of the Windsor Assembly of God. He loved his work at the park, especially mowing. He also enjoyed meeting people who were visiting the park and sharing his testimony of God’s love with them. His greatest joy was being Dad, Papa, and Great Papa. Bill was honored as the 2009 Windsor SeptemberFest Man of the Year. In addition to his wife Gloria, survivors include 3 sons, Jason Fosnow (Shawn), Windsor, Mo., Justin Fosnow (Kary), Windsor, Mo., and Jared Fosnow (Tammy), Clinton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Lipe (Tol), Jeana Johnson (Cameron), Jorja Berube (Zach), Lacy Lesmeister (Austin), Cayleb Swindell (Whitney), Isaac Fosnow, Carly Fosnow, Kayleigh Fosnow (Remington), Molly Fosnow (Austin), Keelan Larsen (Ty), and Chance Ehrsam (Bri); 2 grandsons by heart, Brennan Barton and Jenson Foreman; 5 great-grandchildren, Alaia and Dylan Ehrsam, Lincoln Lipe, Jettsen Johnson, Kuechly Larsen, and a great-grandson, Holden, on the way; 6 brothers and sisters, Larry Fosnow (Mary Ann), Windsor, Mo., Linda Alcorn (Norman), Sedalia, Mo., Rick Fosnow (Diane), Windsor, Mo., Russ Fosnow (Alice), Windsor, Mo., Carol Sawyer (Don), Sedalia, Mo., and Randy Fosnow (Cindy), Sedalia, Mo.; 3 brothers-in-law, Gary White, Wayne Maxwell (Carol), and Junior Nations; 3 sisters-in-law, Connie Fosnow, Sandra Maxwell, and Karen Nolting (Jeff); numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces; and countless Windsor and park friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Brandi Fosnow; a sister, Marilyn White; a brother, Bob Fosnow; a brother-in-law, Alan Maxwell and his wife Ann; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Nations. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Windsor Assembly of God, with Pastor Murlin Anstine and Pastor Jonathan Presley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to the Farrington Park or Windsor Assembly of God in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
