Marilyn Greenough, 83, of Windsor, Missouri, died late Friday evening, September 9, 2022, at Windsor Healthcare & Rehabilitation. She was born March 26, 1939, in Uniontown, Kansas, the daughter of Orange Verlin Riley and Ruby Louise (Wittsell) Riley. On December 21, 1956, she married Wayne Allen Greenough in Wichita, Kansas, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2020. Wayne’s career in the United States Air Force moved their family from time to time and Marilyn enjoyed taking care of the kids while they were young. After they were older, she worked at the Base Exchange of the bases where they were stationed. She enjoyed making and selling ceramics and was always eager for any travel adventure. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and taught Sunday School when her children were young. Wayne and Marilyn enjoyed hosting annual family picnics for many years. Survivors include 3 daughters, Susan Humphries (Danny), Texas; Joni LaRoche (Richard), Virginia; and Karen Kramer (Mike), Windsor, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Greenough, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Todd Humphries, Derek LaRoche, Craig LaRoche, Jennifer White, Kristen White, Justin White, Kayleigh Savage, Karri Greenough, Brett Greenough, Wade Hauser, and Clay Hauser; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Phil Riley and Pat Riley; 2 sisters, Patsy Helvig and Ruth Graham; a sister-in-law, Gloria Froula; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Wayne, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steve Greenough; a granddaughter, Sommer Wells; a brother, Richard Lynn Riley; a sister, Iona Ellis; a sister-in-law, Dawn Magrini; and a brother-in-law, Bob Greenough. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
