Lois Pickett, 84, of Windsor, Missouri, died late Wednesday evening, September 14, 2022, at the Country Club Care Center, Warrensburg, Mo. She was born June 7, 1938, in Cole Camp, Mo., the daughter of Lee Roy Warren and Bertha Lola (Ekstrand) Warren. On December 8, 1957, she married Donald Warren Pickett and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1972. Lois grew up in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School. After the untimely death of her husband, she worked hard to make sure the needs of her family were met. She worked for Harmon/GE in Warrensburg for a number of years. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include 7 children, John Pickett (Carla), Green Ridge, Mo.; Anita Nussbaum (Verl), Leeton, Mo.; Susan Harrington (Sam Elliott), Windsor, Mo.; Jeff Pickett (Cindy), Knob Noster, Mo.; Paul Pickett, Leeton, Mo.; Mary Ash (Johnny), Windsor, Mo., and Micheal Pickett (Michele), Leeton, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Doris Warren, Fowler, Colorado; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. In addition to her husband Donald, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Norris Warren and his wife Thelma, Marvin Warren and his wife Veta, Dale Warren, and Everett Warren and his wife Ann; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Edmondson and her husband Donald. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., October 8, 2022 at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family suggests contributions to Pawsibilities Are Endless in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
