Sheila Lopata, 68, of Windsor, Missouri, died early Friday, September 23, 2022, at her home in Windsor. She was born August 2, 1954, in Edmore, Michigan, the daughter of Robert George Jensen Sr and Hazel Leota (Boyer) Jensen. She married David Doyle Lopata and they enjoyed 10 years together. Sheila was a free spirit and enjoyed traveling and finding work where her travels took her. She worked in construction in Florida for many years. After moving to Windsor, she worked at G & L Liquor, Big Jim's Tavern, and Shelby's Conoco. She loved playing pool and shuffleboard. In her younger years, she enjoyed drawing and painting. She liked to read Steven King novels and spend time with friends at the American Legion in Windsor. Survivors include her husband David of the home; a daughter, Chelsie Garren (Ben), Windsor, Mo.; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Russell Garren, Randi, Nichole Garren, and Destiny Renee Garren; 4 brothers and sisters, Diane Hagland, Gayla Riches, Richard Jensen and Sonny Jensen, all of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Dennis Lopata. A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at a later date.
