Obituary of Kathryn Burcham

Kathryn Burcham, 76, of Windsor, Missouri, (formerly of Independence, Mo.) died Thursday morning, March 31, 2005, at her home in Windsor. She was born April 11, 1928, the daughter of Fredrick D. Hampton and Odes G. (Randsell) Hampton. On December 24, 1947, in Windsor, Mo., she married Edwin E. Burcham, who preceded her in death on December 30, 1977. Kathryn worked at Rival Manufacturing Company in Clinton, Mo., retiring in 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor, Mo., and a former member of the Sycamore Hills Baptist Church, Independence, Mo. Survivors include 2 brothers, Howard Hampton and Ross Hampton, both of Windsor, Mo.; a sister, Arlice Madole, Windsor, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, including Roy Hampton and Tommy Hampton, both of Windsor, that she raised in her home. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Maurine Null and Essie Mae Bowen; and 4 brothers, Fred, Clifford, Roy Dean and Bill Hampton. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 10:00 a.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, Mo., with Rev. Doug Hall, officiating. Laura M. Fetters, organist, will accompany Jan Sloan as she sings, "In Times Like These" and "How Great Thou Art." Casket bearers will be James Hampton, Kenneth Hampton, Roy Hampton, Tommy Hampton, Don Madole and Lonnie Madole. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family suggests memorial contributions, to the Sedalia Bothwell Regional Health Center Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
