Obituary of Dennis Binder
Dennis E. "Dennie" Binder, 81, of Windsor Missouri, died Monday afternoon, April 25, 2005, at the Windsor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Windsor, Mo. He was born March 20, 1924, in Pettis County, near Green Ridge, Mo., the son of Willie Frederick Binder and Gladys K. (Thomson) Binder. On February 17, 1945, in Sedalia, Mo., he married Dorothy Mae Tolley, who survives of the home. Mr. Binder was a farmer and worked at the MFA Elevator in Windsor for over 20 years and also was a school bus driver for the Green Ridge school district for 10 years. He was a member of the Eldorado Methodist Church, rural Green Ridge, Mo. In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by 2 sons, Wayne W. Binder, Garland, Texas, Richard L. Binder, Green Ridge, Mo.; 3 daughters, Judy K. Dick, Sedalia, Mo., Linda L. Hunt, Windsor, Mo., Rita F. Stick, Chilhowee, Mo.; 2 sisters, Thelma Elliott and Vivian Street, both of Green Ridge, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Quintin Binder and a sister, Doris Ryan. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 10:00 a.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, Mo., with Rev. Sandy Feeler, officiating. Shirley Emis, organist, will accompany Mike Emis as he sings "Daddy's Hands" and "On The Wings Of A Dove." A recording of Linda Hunt singing "Stroll Over Heaven With You" will also be played. Casket bearers will be Jim Binder, Lee Smith, Clifford Binder, Fred Binder, Lyle Street, Larry Street, Dale Scott, and David Chaney. Burial will be in the Green Ridge Cemetery, Green Ridge, Mo. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice or to the Eldorado Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
